welcome to la loma
A Denver tradition with a storied history

For over three decades, Sonny and William continued to develop and refine the restaurant, evolving it into the Denver landmark it is today. In 2016, with continuing the family tradition, William and his son, Mark Brinkerhoff, moved the restaurant to its current home, located in downtown Denver across from the Brown Palace Hotel. We offer the same menu and many of the decorative touches our loyal guests have loved for decades including exposed brick with wooden accents, large, stained-glass windows and of course a photo of Savina Mendoza gracing our front entrance way. La Loma’s famed barrel-aged tequila is still in the bar, and the atmosphere continues to be cozy and warm, welcoming parties of any size to enjoy their favorite dishes.
La Loma’s goal is to make wonderful food accessible to all of Denver and beyond. The Brinkerhoff Hospitality Group strives to maintain simply great food, while providing world-class hospitality to our guests. La Loma will remain consistent for everyone, from the families we have served for years, to Denver’s newest residents – not just serving them food but adding a whole new generation of loyal guests who count La Loma as part of their family tradition.
In 2017, William and Mark Brinkerhoff opened Sierra as a part of the Ridgegate community located in Lone Tree, Colorado. Ridgegate’s community was owned by a Greek shipping company that stayed as grasslands for many years. Sierra’s menu consists of timeless American classics with a Southwestern influence. The dishes are recipes that have originated within theBrinkerhoff Family. Sierra’s architecture is stunning and encompasses many of the traits you will find at La Loma. Reclaimed brick from Denver can be found throughout the building, handcrafted copper tables from Mexico, and wood floors are consistent between locations.
Brinkerhoff Hospitality continued to expand with our second La Loma location in Castle Rock, which opened in November of 2020. The property boasts 180° views of the Rocky Mountains and the architecture stays true to the unique style of the Brinkerhoff family of restaurants. The menu is consistent with the original Denver location and guests can enjoy the same Tex-Mex style of food and drink while enjoying the stunning overlook.
